6 Differences between Play Store and App Store

AdTechID --- The Play Store and App Store serve to provide a list of applications that can be installed on technological devices. Likewise, based on their purpose, the Play Store and App Store aim to find, download and install applications desired by users. The Play Store and App Store also have some of the same elements.

Such as app descriptions, icons or logos, screenshots or image galleries, reviews, and app-related videos or snippets. Even so, the Play Store and App Store have their own characteristics that can support device performance.

The two cannot be compared because they have different working systems on the device. To see the differences between these two ecosystems, AdTechID has summarized the differences between the Play Store and the App Store.

Types of applications

One of the differences between the Play Store and the App Store is the type of app. Most iOS apps can work smoothly on iPad and iPhone devices. However, the App Store makes more applications intended for the iPhone than the iPad.

Therefore not all applications in the App Store can be used on the iPad as well as the iPhone.

While on Android all the applications in the Play Store support a large number of smartphones and tablets. There is no difference between the apps used on tablets or smartphones.

Application categories

The Google Play Store divides the list of apps into several categories. Such as arcades, races, cards, casinos, words, boards, education, puzzles, trivia, and so on.

While the App Store is just starting to implement a category system like the one in the Play Store. Therefore, it is widely judged that the Play Store is more advanced compared to the App Store.

Reviews

The Play Store integrates every app review with Google+, adding to search efficiency. In addition, it also makes it easier for users to have an idea of the application they are going to download.

Currently, the App Store has also added Google+ to the search system, so users can read reviews related to the application to be downloaded.

Security

Many users of communication technology claim under the App Store is more secure compared to the Play Store. This security is because the App Store takes a long time to review any application before uploading it on the regular platform.

App Store oversight criteria are based on high-quality standards so reviews of apps also take a long time. While the Google Play Store contains low-quality apps that don't require a review and upload process as complex as the App Store.

Developer-friendly

Apps that are in the App Store are based on quality assurance. While Google Play Store is more user-friendly.

Therefore the App Store is said to be more developer-friendly, as developers don't have to deal with apps that may have a lot of viruses in them or need to fix complicated things.

Unlike the App Store, although the Play Store is not developer-friendly, the Play Store is more friendly and easy to use by users. The application can also be used on any type of smartphone.

User opinion

Although these two ecosystems have several differences in several aspects such as layout, security, to the type of application itself, each user, both Android and iOS users, is satisfied with their respective application stores.

Android users are satisfied with the organization of categories that are in the Play Store, making it more organized.

Not only that, but users are also satisfied with the many applications the developers offer in Google Play and an incredible variety of games. Meanwhile, iOS users are satisfied with the overall products on the App Store.

Although the applications used in some Apple products vary, there are not a few users who use several different Apple devices.

Two ecosystems developed by different experts and used on different devices will always encounter their respective advantages and disadvantages, so they cannot be confused. That's the 6 difference between the Play Store and the App Store. Hope it is useful.
