AdtechID --- Windows 10 is a version of Windows OS that was launched in 2015 by Microsoft and is currently still the most used operating system in the world even though Windows 11 has already been released.
Most of the latest laptops already have this OS in them. Not a few also do not have an OS and only use a DOS system with a black-and-white text display.
However, we can install Windows 10 on the DOS laptop.
Well, here we will discuss how to install windows 10 with easy steps along with the image. We can reinstall Windows 10 on our old laptop or PC as long as the specifications of our old PC or laptop match the minimum specifications needed. Here are the minimum requirements needed:
1. Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or more.
2. RAM: 1 GB or more for the 32-bit version and 2 GB or more for
the 64-bit version.
3. Hard drive: 20 GB or more.
This tutorial will install Windows 10 with a pen drive and DVD. So please choose one, if you have installation media in the form of a Windows DVD then you can use a DVD. But you can use a pen drive if you don't have it.
Here is how to install Windows 10 with a pen drive pen, drive, or DVD on a laptop, PC, or computer.
1. Create Windows 10 Install Media with USB Pendrive or DVD
There are 2 ways to install Windows 10, namely the first is to use a USB pendrive and the second is to use a DVD. Prepare a Windows 10 DVD if you have a Win 10 DVD installer. But if you don't have one, it's better to use a pen drive to install windows.
If you do not have installation media on the pen drive, here are 2 ways to create installation media on the Pendrive. First, it uses the official Media Creation Tool from Microsoft. Second, use the Rufus app.
How to Create Windows 10 Installation Media using the Media Creation Tool
This method is suitable for those of you who do not have a Windows 10 ISO file. This process requires a fast internet connection and will consume a quota of approximately 4GB /because it will download windows 10 automatically from Microsoft. Your pendrive will be formatted, so please move the files on your flash first.
Download the media creation tool. Then, plug the pendrive into your laptop or computer.
Open the media creation tool you downloaded. Then, select Accept to agree to the MICROSOFT SOFTWARE LICENSE TERMS. Then, select Create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) for another PC. Then click Next.
Under Language select English (United States), On Edition select Windows 10 and under Architecture select 64-bit (x64). Then click Next.
Then select the USB flash drive then click Next. Next click on your pendrive, after that click Next.

Wait for the process to complete, then click Finish.
How to Create Windows 10 Installation Media by using Rufus
This method is suitable for those of you who already have a Windows 10 ISO file. Your pendrive will be formatted, so please move your files first.
Download the rufus app from its official website here. Then, plug the pendrive into your laptop or computer.
Open the rufus app. In Boot selection select Disk or ISO image. Then, click Select. Then find where your ISO file is.
Under Image Option select Standard Windows installation. Under Partition scheme select GPT. In Target system select UEFI (non CSM). On the Volume Label fill in the name as you wish. Under File system select FAT32. Then click Start.

2. Change Boot Priority Settings in BIOS
Plug in the Windows 10 pendrive if you want to use a pendrive or insert a win 10 DVD if you want to use a DVD. Then, turn on your laptop or PC.
After the screen lights up, immediately press the ESC, DEL, F1 or F2 keys on the keyboard to enter BIOS. The key that must be pressed is different for each BIOS brand, but most BIOS brands use the ESC key. To find out, please read when the laptop has just turned on (after pressing the power button). Usually there is a description of Press ESC to setup or other button descriptions before entering the OS.
After successfully entering BIOS, navigate to the Boot settings menu. Each brand of BIOS has a different menu. Usually the Boot priority setting is in the Boot menu. To direct it we can read the information on the side or under the BIOS.
As in the example below my laptop uses PhoinexBIOS and how to point it using the right or left direction.
Change the first boot to USB or Removable Devices if you are using a pendrive, or if you are using a DVD turn the first boot into a CD-ROM Drive. It's also different in every BIOS. In this example, the trick is to select Removable Device if using a pendrive. Then, according to the caption on the right of the screen, we have to use the + button to raise it to the first position.
Then, save and close the BIOS by pressing F10 according to the description at the bottom of the BIOS screen.
The laptop or computer will restart automatically.
Tip: If you are using a laptop, make sure your laptop battery is full so that it does not die during the installation process. It is recommended that you better charge the laptop during installation.

After the Installing updates process is complete, the laptop or PC will restart automatically.
After restarting automatically, do not press anything on the keyboard when there is a display "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD...". Let subsequent processes run automatically.
Then it will appear loading Windows 10 with the text Getting ready for approximately 5 minutes, but of course this is according to the speed of our computer or laptop. Wait for the process to run until the computer or laptop restarts again automatically.
Sometimes the process of getting ready windows 10 is long when reinstalled. This is normal, especially if you use an old-school laptop or computer. However, if the process takes more than 30 minutes, it is possible that the hard drive or other components have problems.
Again do not press any keys on the keyboard when there is a display "Press any key...". Then the process will proceed to the Windows settings.
